FPA and its members strive to improve the financial wellbeing of all Australians and to support and enhance the professionalism of financial planners. FPA practitioner members must be licensed to provide financial planning advice and are required to abide by a Code of Ethics and Rules of Professional Conduct, and to attain required levels of continuing professional development points. In Australia, FPA is the sole licensee for Certified Financial Planner Accreditation, which is awarded to those practitioners who meet the education, examination, ethical and experience requirements.
